Appendix Afigappa_199_1Introduction to After Effects and Fusion

Fusion and After Effects Overview

Although experience with Adobe After Effects or Backmagic Design Fusion is helpful while using this book, it’s not mandatory. I’ve included critical introductory information for both programs so that you can follow along with the book’s numerous tutorials. If you have experience with another compositing program, such as The Foundry Nuke, the transition is equally feasible—the workflows are essentially the same but the menu, parameter, and node names vary. As such, I’ve included workflow charts and problem-solving guides at the start of each chapter.
