Abstract
The quality of any material needs to be assessed for the processing of fiber, yarn, and fabric, and for its end use purpose. Unless the quality is quantified, it becomes impossible to control. Silk is called the “queen of natural fibers” because of its unique qualities, such as extra fineness, luster, and feel.
