Energy efficiency and environmental impact of solar heating and cooling systems

Abstract

Renewable energy sources compete with conventional fuels in three distinct markets: hot water and space heating, power generation, and transport fuels. Hot water for sanitary uses as well as space heating for millions of buildings is supplied by systems that employ solar energy.
