Solar-powered absorption cooling systems

Abstract

The absorption cooling system is a heat-activated cooling system based on a solution absorption process. It is a good choice for solar cooling. Various kinds of absorption cooling systems are available for various working conditions. In this chapter, the fundamentals of absorption cooling technology are introduced, including the working principle and working pairs. These are followed by an introduction to various absorption cooling systems. These systems are categorized by coupled solar collectors, thermodynamic cycles, and working pairs.
