Sensible heat storage for solar heating and cooling systems
Abstract
Sensible thermal energy storage has received greater attention in the field of solar cooling and heating in the recent years due to the large promotion of solar energy technologies around the globe. It enhances the solar energy utilization and improves the overall thermal performance of the system. This chapter discusses about the various types of sensible heat storage material, types of storage systems, principle of working, various technologies available for solar cooling and heating applications, performance evaluations of storage systems.
