Implications for Coaching New Populations of Coachees
What are the implications for coaching these new populations? Being able to define clearly what it takes to be successful in an organization is critical for everyone. It is especially necessary if one is a member of a “nontraditional” or nondominant group. Asking the following question to coachees and others in the organization: “What does it take for a person with X characteristics (a female, person of color, male, Gen X, Boomer) to be successful here?” may elicit different responses depending on the subgroup membership.
