Supporting the E-Coaching Process
E-coaching is not simply an extension of coaching or an add-on to established processes. Technology and coaching have “synthesized into something new and exciting” (Clutterbuck & Hussain, 2010). Understanding e-coaching and determining who should coach and be coached are prerequisites to building an e-coaching practice. Once this foundation has been established, the practicalities of conducting e-coaching require a focused examination. This section examines many such key issues, including matching coaches with clients, logistical issues, the actual technology, building and maintaining relationships, and evaluation and transitioning.
