With this case study, we’ll light an animated character. As opposed to working with a human character, we’ll apply the lighting to a fox (Figure C3.1). A fox shares many of the same facial features as a human (eyes, nose, cheeks) and can be lit with many of the techniques discussed in earlier chapters. Other unique mammalian features, such as large ears and a four-legged stance, will present new challenges.
