Chapter 5. Dynamic Text with After Effects

Why use After Effects instead of Flash for text animation? After Effects has a rich pedigree in text animation, including feature film title sequences and broadcast commercials. If you want to animate text, After Effects is the best tool in existence. We recommend if you want to animate text for a Flash project, animate it in After Effects and then export it as a SWF or XFL file for import into Flash. It might seem like a few extra steps, but the results are worth it.
