Chapter 8. Cycle
The Cycle pattern is the basis of all iterative development techniques, and it is a major tool in the Agile development toolbox. A cycle is a period that starts with a goal and ends with an evaluation of the progress made toward achieving that goal. The evaluation results are fed into the next cycle to better achieve its goals.

Cycles affect any and all business values depending on the goals they address. They accelerate learning by allowing you and your team to periodically see progress made and respond appropriately.
