Planning poker is an estimation technique that enables a team to effectively and quickly estimate the relative difficulty of requirements. This supports building a backlog for both the release and the iteration. Planning poker doesn’t really support any business values directly but indirectly affects all business values addressed by a backlog, which includes product utility, visibility, and time to market.
