Chapter 25. Information Radiator

An information radiator is an object—often a chart—that is placed in a common area where members of the organization regularly see it. That object “radiates” information every time someone sees it. The Information Radiator practice helps communicate important data/issues/context about the team, the project, and its progress.

Business Value

An information radiator primarily improves visibility. Also, by acting as a conduit for important information, it indirectly affects a team’s ability to recognize and therefore respond to change, which improves flexibility.
