Turning What We Know into What We Do
Making Agile Talent Work
Saul Alinsky, the great Chicago social activist and community organizer, wrote his iconic book Rules for Radicals as “a practical primer for realistic radicals.”1 We wish we had written that sentence. It describes perfectly the intent of our book. In our view, agile talent is the point of the spear leading to a profound change in the way organizations structure and resource their activities. The agile-talent approach has far-reaching implications for workforce planning, the way that work teams are constructed, and the way that future generations of experts think about and manage their careers. And agile talent significantly influences how leaders manage and lead change.
