Student engagement and motivation are ongoing problems in education. Still, the advent of technology that captures students' attention, encourages short attention spans, and provides never‐ending stimuli has worsened the situation. As a result, teachers are struggling to compete for students' attention. Although some will argue that that is not the responsibility of teachers, it is, unfortunately, at the least still our problem.
