Building Access Project Forms
Chapter 11, “Developing an MDB Client/Server Application with Linked Tables,” showed you how to properly build an application involving linked tables. As discussed in this chapter, the other alternative is to use an Access Project to solve the problem. Once again, the application will be built around the NorthWind client/server database.
To build the ADP file:
1. | Click File, New. |
2. | Select Project (Existing Data). |
3. | Select a name and location for the Access Project (.adp). Click Create. The Data Link Properties dialog box appears. |
4. | In the Select or Enter a Server Name text box, enter the name of the server where the NorthWind database resides. |
5. | Specify how you will log on to the server. |
