Measuring Success

In every interview I’ve had for a DEIB role, the question has come up about what results I was able to produce at the company I was at. How much progress did you drive? How did you measure success? What results did your initiatives achieve? And after I share some impressive numbers, the next question is always, how did you do that? My reply has been that I always start with envisioning the answers to the questions about results before I launch any new DEIB initiative. While defining these results and how to measure them up front can add to the design and development time for initiatives, I believe it’s the best way to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with and motivated to drive the outcomes I’m striving for. ...
