Having reviewed the value that a coaching approach can bring to the process of diagnosing business health, we now have a chance to see a bit of that approach in action. In the following sections a number of questions have been laid out, specifically to provide a chance to experience the power of the open-ended question.
The sections in this chapter are loosely based on a modified top-level structure of the APQC Process Classification Framework that we noted back in Chapter 1. It’s not the only way to look at the functions of a business, but it provides a reasonable starting point, since we’re not trying to be exhaustive in any event (APQC 2014).
