I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
A piece of photographic art doesn’t always end with the print. There are a series of print and image manipulations that can be done to further transform your image, add a different level of depth, or add more narrative to an otherwise ordinary image. For example, a traditional portrait is usually perceived as a depictive image of a person. Folding or distorting the face might start injecting a sense of psychosis, fractured identity, or angst. It is, of course, up to the artist to know why they are making the art, but having a wide spectrum of possible outcomes can help the artist find not only an aesthetic style, but a refined concept as well. The following are a few examples of these manipulations.
