I always love the bit in James Bond films where Q briefs him on all the gadgets he is going to use in his mission: the exploding pen, the watch fitted with a laser beam cutter, the ring containing a miniature camera. Then Q hands him the briefcase and wishes him luck as James Bond says goodbye to Miss Moneypenny and heads out to deal with the baddies and make everything right again.
