Appendix F. Working with 3D Source Material

If you’ve been to a movie theater or to an electronics store in the past few years, you’ve probably noticed that 3D (stereoscopic 3D, or S3D for short) has become quite a big deal. It seems like every other movie is touting that it’s in 3D, and many TV sets these days have 3D capabilities.

In this appendix, we’re not going to argue the merits of stereo 3D but rather arm you with the essentials of working with stereo footage in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium. The trend is that more and more editors are finding themselves working on stereo projects, but there is a scarcity of solid information available.
