The first step to getting a project off the ground is the idea. An original idea can come from various places: real-world experiences, a person you know, a place you have visited, a dream, and the list continues. Where the idea comes from is not as important as why you think your idea will make a good movie, TV series, or audio documentary.
All your ideas are not going to be good ideas. You will have to work through many versions of your idea before it becomes “marketable.” Sometimes, it can help to talk through your idea with someone to see whether they understand it.
