In the story development process, what is the importance of story research (i.e., time period, clothing, historical references, etc.)?
All stories for film and television require a unique premise, world, characters, and plot trajectories, optimally enabling the greatest possible growth for all characters concerned, unless in certain cases the very point is for a character to have opportunities to grow, but [she or he] fails to do so, due to the unique characteristics of her or his persona.
