Passive House makes it possible to reduce energy demand by up to 90% compared to ordinary buildings. Reducing energy use, mainly in the building and transport sectors, is a key component of the energy revolution that is happening in Germany and Austria – both countries appear to be on target to run their economies on 100% renewable energy by 2050.
