Introduction
In 1985 Linear Technology Corporation introduced the LT1016 Comparator. This device was the first readily usable, high speed TTL comparator. Previous ICs were either too slow or unstable, preventing widespread acceptance. The LT1016 was, and is, a highly successful product.
