Introduction

Instrumentation, waveform synthesis, data acquisition, feedback control systems and other application areas utilize wideband amplifiers. Current generation components (see box section, next page, “A Precision Wideband Amplifier with 9ns Settling Time”) feature good DC precision while maintaining high speed operation. Verifying precision operation at high speed is essential, and presents a high order measurement challenge.
