Current or recently discontinued, relatively mass-market true analog and virtual analog instruments likely to be seen in stores or prominently in secondhand listings. Many excellent product lines, such as Trax Controls and Harpur Instruments in the UK, Modal with their 002 synth, the John Bowen synth in the USA, the Schmidt in Germany, and so on, are not included because they are more or less boutique productions or sold direct to users.
