NodeXL for Programmers
This appendix covers NodeXL topics of interest to programmers. If you know C#, VB.NET, or another .NET language, you can customize the NodeXL Excel 2007 template to import network graph data from any data source. You can also create your own graphing application using the NodeXL class libraries.
A.1 Importing Custom Graph Data
The NodeXL Excel 2007 template has built-in support for importing network graph data from a variety of sources, including edge list workbooks, matrix workbooks, UCINet files, Pajek files, GraphML files, and so on. You can import from these sources using the Data, Import menu in the NodeXL tab in Excel’s ribbon (see Chapter 4).
