Thread networks: Mapping message boards and email lists
Abstract
Many online communities use threaded conversations in the form of email lists, discussion forums, Facebook groups, and sites like Reddit, Quora, and Stack Overflow. Threaded conversations are composed of single-authored messages organized into threads (i.e., top-level message with a chain of replies). Threads are often found within topics or groups.
