Chapter 8. Example Project: Creating a Media Center

As promised at the beginning of Part II of this book, we want to use specific example projects to illustrate what we have learned, above and beyond the demo projects. An example project usually focuses on one more or less narrowly defined topic, for which the app you are developing provides one solution (out of potentially many) based on the previously demonstrated components. Here the primary function is no longer demonstrating the function of individual components (bottom-up), but practically applying what you have learned within a concrete and realistic task on an appropriate scale (top-down).
