While it’s true that some Android manufacturers offer their own photo editing tools, the Google Photos app is the one I use for this book, as Google Photos is available to everyone — even if you have Apple products. You can take a photo on your Android smartphone and then edit it on your iPad or Mac, or even a family member’s iPhone, if you so desire.
An interesting thing happened to me while writing this chapter. I had the chapter pretty much written when a request popped up on my Google Pixel 4a as a reminder to update to a newer version of Android 11.
