I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Though not an overwhelming success, I think The Hunchback of Notre Dame was one of the most sophisticated animated films I've ever worked on. I actually went to my old pal, Beauty and the Beast director Gary Trousdale when I got word that he and his co-director Kirk Wise might be adapting this Victor Hugo novel for the screen. Frankly, I thought doing The Hunchback as an animated film was a totally crazy idea—and that's exactly why I wanted to be a part of it. Taking risks is what creativity is all about, and the thought of doing the Victor Hugo novel, with its darkness and sexuality, was a daunting challenge. Could ...
