Your Own Film School
You don't necessarily need school to make a movie.
“The best way to learn film is to make one.” Those are the words of my favorite filmmaker and personal hero, Stanley Kubrick. When I was a kid, I was eager to create my own movies, but there was no way a studio would indulge an inexperienced kid (although it appears they do today) with his own motion picture. The answer was easy. My partner, Leo Sullivan, and I decided to make our own movies.
Yes, that means we would have to do everything: write the script and create the storyboard, layouts, and animation. Finally, we would have to edit our project and do all the postproduction. How does one accomplish all this without ever attending ...
