Preproduction—Development
This chapter explores the development of an animation project in the transition through the preproduction phase into production. As we have seen, the project concept has been introduced and scripted and a series of resulting ideas explored, researched, and developed. The material has been consolidated through discussion and visually presented by the preproduction team as an agreed rough draft of the final project. It has then been delivered through a pitch to the client.
