The Buddha (and Krishnamurti) counseled avoidance of some occupations

As many will recognize, the phrase “right livelihood” is most famously encountered as a step in the Eight-Fold Path of Buddhism. On this path (which is a middle way between pleasure seeking and asceticism), it is one of the eight tenets: right view, right resolve, right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration (Samadhi). In this brief chapter we look to see what we might learn and be able to apply from this step on the path, whether we are Buddhists or not.
