I love to paint cats, leopards, and panthers, so much so that I even painted a blue panther for my business cards. Felines make great motifs, as they can be familiar or mysterious figures. Felines work equally well as a subject for a warm and cozy interior painting or in the fierce atmosphere of a dark jungle. They offer an interesting contrast between the elegance and strength of their bodies and the coziness of their fur and purrs. Felines have beautiful eyes with a dark, vertical pupil and very long whiskers, which are fun details to paint.
