Make a Test Certificate

Regardless of which version of Apache you are using, you now need a test certificate. Go into .../src and type:

% make certificate

A number of questions appear about who and where you are:

There are quite a few fields but you can leave some blank
For some fields there will be a default value,
If you enter '.', the field will be left blank.
