Juice Your Game with Particles
Your game is sort of dripping with juice now. While you could yell, “Ship it!” and call it a day, there’s always more you can do when it comes to juicing your games. For example, you can use SpriteKit’s Particle System to add special effects like fire, smoke, and sparks to your games—all of which are types of particles.
In this section, you’ll get your first look at creating particles using Xcode’s SpriteKit Particle Editor.
From Xcode’s App menu, select File ▶ New ▶ File... or press ⌘N on your keyboard to create a new particle file. Select the iOS SpriteKit Particle File template as shown in the first image.
