I was one of those kids who walked into the local mall and made a beeline for the arcade. Parachute pants or jams sagging from several dollars’ worth of quarters in my pockets, I was ready and armed for an afternoon of digital battle. Ah, the glory days of the bright lights, bells and whistles, shouts of victory, and cries of defeat! The mall arcade was even better than shows like Stranger Things make them out to be.
Since those times are behind us, Apple’s taken the step of bringing the arcade to us. Apple Arcade is a gaming subscription service that’s part of Apple One, and it offers complete and unlimited access to over 100 games that you can play on just about any Apple device. You can even begin play on one device and switch to another if batteries are running low or you’d rather take gameplay to a larger screen. There are also no in-game purchases to make, and you can use a supported wireless gaming controller to enhance your experience.
