Master archive and backup techniques using the vault
Every photographer knows it is essential to have a safeguard against data loss—a fail-safe way to protect your valuable images from drive failure. Fortunately, Aperture has an advanced method of archiving your entire Library.
Called the vault, the feature works by creating a mirror image of your Library on an external device, such as a FireWire drive. You can connect multiple drives and set up as many vaults as necessary.
