Archiving and Restoring Open Directory Data
Once your Open Directory master (and any replicas) has been established, it is advisable to archive all your Open Directory data. This enables you to quickly recover all LDAP user information, passwords, and computer configuration information. It also permits you to transfer the Open Directory service from one computer to another by restoring the Open Directory information, provided that the IP address and host name of the new computer are the same as on the old one.
