One of the hallmarks of a modern operating system is support for multiple user accounts. OS X delivers this in spades with a robust, secure, and highly polished multiuser environment. The UNIX foundation of OS X is the source of this sophisticated multiple-user environment. UNIX operating systems have a long history of providing such services.
