As much as we might hope otherwise, problems do occur and sometimes that leads to the need to recover a server whose hardware or software has failed. To help protect against failures, a proven backup system needs to be utilized. Although there are many backup choices on the market, OS X since v10.5 has had Time Machine built in. When used with OS X Server, it can provide a functional, low-cost, and simple backup solution.
