Appendix . Setting Up for Surround Mixing
You may not know it at first glance, but in Soundtrack Pro, you’re mixing in surround all the time. Indeed, Soundtrack Pro’s architecture was designed from the ground up with surround mixing in mind. Even when you’re mixing a stereo soundtrack, you’re just using the left and right channels of an otherwise surround signal path. The benefit of this architecture is that you can easily switch from surround to stereo and back again while mixing your projects. And this has definite advantages, because you can create both surround and stereo downmix versions of a project, in the same project.
