In traditional film-based photography, image color and contrast were controlled through specialized processing and the use of filters. In the digital world, you can make the same adjustments with software. Aperture offers powerful controls that allow you to modify the exposure of an image, and offers highlight recovery, black point adjustment, and brightness controls.
