Chapter 5. Accessing Media Using Final Cut Server

Final Cut Server (FCS) is a server application that runs on Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard along with a Java client that runs on Mac OS X and Windows. The application adds media asset management and workflow automation capabilities to the Final Cut Pro workflow. It can be configured to work in shared storage environments—which would be typical in a news organization—or on a single Mac server with direct attached storage.
