The versatile Apple Vision Pro has so many uses, and video communication is one of them. Sure, you can use another Apple device — like an iPhone or Mac — to FaceTime, but doing so hands-free on an Apple Vision Pro is really engaging because you can pin the people you’re chatting with around the actual room you’re in. Plus, you look almost 3D to the people you’re chatting with, thanks to your Persona (see Chapter 2).
During a FaceTime video call, you can also share your view with the person you’re chatting with, so they see what you see. Plus, you can add more people to the call, message them during a call, pin multiple faces around the environment you’re in (see Figure 6-1), and much more.
Several Apple Vision Pro apps even let you video chat while doing something online, such as playing chess with a friend in another city (see Chapter 12) or collaborating with a colleague in Freeform (see Chapter 16). This is part of the SharePlay feature is baked into Apple Vision Pro (and some other Apple devices).
