Activity is key to living a healthier and happier life. You don’t need me to tell you this; it’s something we all know deep in our bones. Even some tiny smidgen of activity, no matter what it is, is better than laying there like a limp noodle all day. Muscles contract and expand. The heart pumps and blood flows. Your skin glows and your mind focuses. Friends and family are suitably impressed.
But let’s face facts — it’s much easier to begin an activity and to stay active when we’re held accountable. That’s what coaches and mentors and teachers are for. We human beings need the urging and encouragement of another to help motivate us, especially when we’re having “one of those days.”
