Disaster Recovery

Abstract

Organizations depend on their IT systems so a disaster recovery plan is needed in case the primary IT site becomes unavailable. This chapter describes potential disasters that can strike an organization and its IT facilities. It describes the steps an Application Administrator should take to prepare for a potential disaster. DR plans need to be periodically reviewed and tested. Communications will be critical during a disaster.
