There is no fixed definition of e-business. It may be referred to as e-commerce. However, it is a term of art applied to enterprises and organizations, whether for-profit private sector businesses or governmental agencies, that rely on information technology (IT) and systems to provide goods or services, as well as to inform stakeholders about the results of operations and the financial condition of the enterprise or organization.
