BizTalk message flow

The next diagram illustrates a standard message flow through the main components of BizTalk. The BizTalk messaging system has three distinct parts: receive port, MessageBox, and send port.

Messages are received via a receive port. A receive port can contain one or more receive locations, which provide the ability to have multiple transport entry points into the application.
